Topics: Family & Friends, Using numbers 30-1,000; Possessive adjectives, subject pronouns, tener; Basic pastimes and activities. Likes, dislikes and preferences

 

  • I can answer simple questions about likes and dislikes.

  • I can communicate basic information about self and others in a spoken, signed, or written conversation at the Novice-Mid to Novice-High level.

  • I can communicate basic information about daily life (time, dates, weather, school, and family) in a spoken, signed, or written conversation.

  • I can read and listen to descriptions and recognize images that match the
    descriptions.

  • I can understand brief and simple written or spoken messages found in songs, videos, announcements or advertising from the target culture.

  • I can understand the content of simple items from the target countries. (Example: Explaining what is on an infographic on pastime activities from the target culture).

  • I can create and present short descriptions of self and others in spoken and written form at the Novice-Mid to Novice High level.

  • I can dramatize short reading selections (short songs or poems) or create and present short skits at the Novice-Mid to Novice-High level.

  • I can create and present information about something learned using words, phrases, and memorized expressions.

  • I can compare childhood games, stories, or rhymes to those in the target language and culture to my language and culture.

  • I can compare celebrations in the target cultures to my own.
